Impact Youth
Impact - (n.) the act of one body, object, etc., striking another; collision; the force with which one thing hits another or with which two objects collide; the impression made by an idea, cultural movement, social group, etc.
Impact Youth's purpose,
both in name and in action, is to Impact change. We are fully convinced
that everywhere Jesus went, every room He entered, and every town He set
foot in, there was an Impact and it brought forth change for the better.
It only seems right that the people who bear His name make that their
purpose also; to make everywhere they go an Impact of change.
The "go" is a big part of who we are; we don't just want where
we meet to be an Impact. Our desire is that every person leaves our meetings
and transforms lives wherever they are.
Our gatherings are
fun and sincere: a mixture of teaching, worship, and the automatic great
time that happens when a bunch of young people get together! We don't
really follow the opinion that teenagers are "going nowhere and doing
nothing." We believe that God expressed His opinion of young people
in 1 Timothy 4:12 that youth should be "examples in speech, conduct,
and holiness of those who believe." Impact Youth is going to answer
that challenge: everywhere we go we will take the living presence of the
most high God with them. Everywhere we step foot will be an Impact of
the saving, healing, joyful, loving presence of Jesus.
We invite you to come and experience the love that is changing and helping
us, and take that love and change our world!
