FAITH HAS A VOICE
By Pastor Jim Jarman

As a born-again believer we understand that there is a real devil and we know that he is a defeated foe. But he doesn't know he is and he is the very one that is putting pressure on you in order to steal your confession of faith. He's trying to get you to talk yourself out of your marriage being restored, seeing your children delivered and set free, receiving your healing, or your prosperity or whatever else you have been trusting God for.
You need to understand this, that the devil is very interested in your words. So the big question then is why? Well, because he understands something most Christians don't know or have just forgotten. And that is, he knows that if he can't still your words, it is all over for him. If he can't stop you from speaking words of faith, those words will blast away every mountain, every storm and every giant that tries to stand in your way.

You see my brothers and my sister our words are very crucial and the devil knows it. As a believer we need to see and understand that words of faith are our connection with the supernatural power of God and that words of doubt and unbelief handcuff the very move of God in our life.

Jesus said, ...whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith - (Mark 11:23).

Faith is a supernatural force from heaven that flows into our hearts, comes out of your mouths through our words and changes our natural world. Jesus connected speaking with believing. Faith and words are inseparable. Faith has a voice!

Faith gives birth to words of power that we speak. And the power of the Word of God gives birth to faith! Faith isn't born in your heart until you find out what God says about something. Just like (Romans 10:17) says, faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

When you grab-hold of the Word of God and believe it with your whole heart, the supernatural force of faith is generated inside you. And that my brothers and sisters is a very powerful force. Faith has a voice!

When you take God's Word and believe it in your heart and speak it out of your mouth, the created force of faith is released with a strong and authoritative voice and it begins to change the world that you live in. Think about that! We're not talking about some religious feeling here. We are talking about the same supernatural power that created the universe coming alive on the inside of you and flowing out of you! Faith has a voice!
Faith is the force that created everything you and I see today. Faith is a creative power and that's why it can change the things you see. Some people try to disconnect the power of faith and the power of words. They say things like, Well, I believe in my heart all right, but I don't like to talk about it to much.

According to the Word of God, you can't do that. For faith to work, it must be spoken out of your mouth. In other words, faith has a voice. The scripture below leaves no doubt about it. Let's take a look.

...The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. (Romans 10: 8-10)

Faith will always show up in two places: in your heart and in your mouth. Faith has a voice! Paul said it like this, We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak;
(II Corinthians 4:13).

It is only when faith is spoken out of our mouths that it begins to change things in the natural world that we live in.

There are a lot of people who really don't want to hear this. They don't want to speak by faith, because they don't take the time to gain the understanding of faith and how it works. They don't want to say something is true unless they can see it with their own eyes. But this kind of speaking will never ever change anything in your life!

Let's take a close look at this comparison; the process of faith to a thermostat. If you have the thermostat set on 75 degrees and you want the room to be cooler, you have to change the thermostat. If you leave it on 75 degrees, nothing is ever going to change.

The words that we speak work just like that. Words act like a thermostat in your life. If you want to create something different, you are going to have to change the words that you speak. You're going to have to make them reflect what you want, not what you already have! Faith has a voice!

Well Pastor, I don't know that I like what you are saying. Well like it or not, it is a spiritual law and it will not change just because you don't agree with it. Your words rule your life. You don't have any choice about that. But you can, however, choose which words you want to rule you. And if you're smart about it you'll choose God's Word to rule your life. The reason that is, is because God's Word is big enough to handle anything and everything. His Word has all the answers, the very answers that you and I need.

The people of the world have created problems so great they can't solve them and they have run out of answers. But in God's realm, though, there is always an answer. You won't ever go to the Father with a problem and hear Him say, Oh my, this is too hard for Me. You've messed things up so badly I don't know what to do. No, no, no! God knows exactly what to do about your problems. Remember that Jesus did a complete work.

Remember this that your connection with God depends on your faith. And faith has to be in two places--in your heart and in your mouth. You cannot talk doubt, unbelief and faith out of the same mouth and expect results. Doubt and unbelief cancels out your faith.

You need to recognize that every word you speak is a word that will change the things that you face. It's like a small spark that sets off a big forest fire. In the book of James we find that James says words set in motion the whole course of nature - (James 3:6). When you come to the understanding that, If I don't want it, I'd better not say it, you will start getting your words straight. Faith has a voice!

Hey, I'm not promising you that it will be easy. Because of some of the negative words you have been speaking have been in your family for generations. It can be tough to break word-habits like that. But with the Word of God in your heart and in your mouth and with the leading of the great Holy Spirit you are assured of victory. Faith has a voice!

For better or for worse, your words are building a fortress in your life. So you had better start examining the words you allow out of your mouth. You'd better start speaking them like you expect them to come to pass. Faith has a voice!

It is not just what you say in public that counts either. It's not what you say when you pray or when you're talking to other believers at church. It is what you speak continually as you go about your daily life that ultimately will carry the most weight. Matter of fact, it's when you're with your friends that you really have to watch yourself most. When you are alone with your wife or your husband and you let your hair down--and many times, you let your faith down too. Faith has a voice!

In (Malachi 3) we see that God is talking about some people who let their hair down with each other. They got together and complained about how poorly God was treating His people. What good does it do to serve God? they said. The wicked are the ones who prosper! Do you know what God said to them? He said, Your words have been stout against me - (Malachi 3: 13). Their words were stout or hard against Him.

But in this very same chapter of Malachi, you read about another group of people. While the first group complained, this group spoke something different. They spoke in the reverent fear and worship of the Lord. In (Malachi 3: 16) says, the Lord hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him.

Did you know God hears you and your spouse when you speak words of faith to each other over the kitchen table? When you talk together about His faithfulness, He says, I am going to write that down and remember it. They fear My name and believe My Word and they are going to have what they say. Faith has a voice!

My brothers and sisters please don't ever think your words aren't important! Your very future with God depends on the words you speak out of your mouth. Your eternal destiny was settled the day you said with your mouth that Jesus is Lord of my life. Your life--both in the here and now and in the hereafter--is still being built by the words you speak.
When you say words of faith, it thrills God because those words open the way for Him to move in your life and bless you. That's what He loves to do. Faith has a voice!

Personally, Joyce and I love to be blessed by God, so we pay close attention to the words that come out of our mouth. We are also quick to receive correction. We work very hard not to let down our guard and allow the devil to get hold of some of our words. You can do the same thing. If you start speaking words of doubt and unbelief, just stop the moment you realize what you are doing and repent before God. Change your thinking and change your attitude and get your words back in agreement and in alignment with the Word of God. Faith has a voice!

If we couldn't repent, none of us would make it. But we can repent, thank God for it! So
start by developing that habit today. Start by getting God's Word inside of your heart and believing what He says and putting it in your mouth and speak them out by faith. Faith has a voice!

Get in the habit of reading the Word of God and having prayer every single morning. Get in the habit of confessing the Word of God out of your mouth. When you confess, declare and decree the Word of God out of your mouth everything begins to change. Faith has a voice!

That's the way to keep your faith level strong, by keeping your Word level high. Exhort one another daily, as we find in (Hebrews 3: 13). You cannot live a life of faith and speak words of faith if you don't make time for the Word of God. It just does not work that way.

If you want to walk in faith and victory you have to keep your mind thinking God's thoughts. You have to remain centered on the Word of God. For the Word that God speaks is alive and full of power - (Hebrews 4: 12). And it will always get the job done when nothing else can do it. In fact, God says it cannot fail. Faith has a voice!

(Isaiah 55: 11) says, So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. Faith has a voice!

Just remember, for your faith in that Word to work effectively, it has to be in TWO places: in your heart and in your mouth. When you put the Word of God in those two places, miracles begin to happen in your life. When you speak God's words and refuse to let go of them, no giant, no storm of life, no mountain and no devil from hell can stand in your way never, ever again. Faith has a voice and it sounds like JESUS!!!

Hey, Joyce and I would like you to know that we are standing in the gap for you in great prayer on intersession. And we stand firm on the Word of God, and no matter what the world says, no matter what people say, no matter what your circumstances say and no matter what the devil says. Today you are a believer and we do believe that you will receive absolutely everything that God has for you today. We love you, we believe in you and we call you bless today.
