All known living organisms are guided in their structure by something called DNA (Deoxyribonucleic Acid).
The DNA contains genetic instructions used in the development of the organism.
The primary role of DNA molecules is to store information – in overly simple terms, DNA is like a set of blueprints which contains the instructions needed to construct the cells of the organism.
